The Outback Strong Teen Health Fair is just two days away!
We're excited about this opportunity to bring important health services and information to Lakeview teens in a fun atmosphere. We're also excited about the chance to connect teens with a healthcare provider, maybe for the first time. That's the heart of this event: helping Lake County youths between the ages of 12 and 21 get in to see a primary care provider. That's why one of the stations at the Teen Health Fair is scheduling an appointment with a healthcare provider.
Several teens already have set up appointments, and we anticipate several more will do so at the fair. Those who schedule appointments and go through each health station at the fair will receive an aluminum water bottle with the Outback Strong logo. Those who actually show up for their scheduled provider appointments will receive an Outback Strong hooded sweatshirt. They'll also be entered to win one of four fantastic prizes: a mountain bike (we have a men's bike and a women's bike), plus a helmet, pump, repair kit, and lock; a season pass to Warner Canyon Ski Area; and 10 ski or snowboard rentals from M&B Ski.
We have more prizes and fun planned for the fair itself. Don't miss the fun! The Outback Strong Teen Health Fair runs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. this Wednesday, November 15, in the Daly Middle School auditorium.
