QMHP Intern – Behavioral Health Counselor
A QMHP Intern in Oregon is a graduate-level student working toward qualification who provides mental health services under supervision. Interns assist with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals experiencing mental health concerns. Responsibilities may include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, supporting individual and group counseling, participating in crisis intervention, and coordinating care with community resources. QMHP interns use evidence-based practices, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and work under the supervision of a qualified clinician in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules.

As the first point of contact for our organization, the Front Desk team member plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for every individual who walks through our doors. This position is responsible for greeting clients with empathy and professionalism, managing scheduling and communication, and ensuring smooth daily operations within a fast-paced behavioral health setting. At Outback Strong, our front desk staff are essential in helping clients feel seen, respected, and connected to care from the very first interaction.
